Welcome to the work bench. My section of the web site on my work bench and projects I am working on.

Over the years I have always had some test gear in the shack. I have started to build up some proper test gear in 2016 which would allow me to perform proper testing and fault finding on radio equipment. Some has been bought new like the Rigol gear. Other equipment has been bought used and in some cases needed repair. Rigol is great kit at a reasonable price. I have always wanted a service monitor. About 30 years ago I had a friend with access to professional service gear. I spectrum analyzer and a Marconi signal generator. I used to be able to borrow it for a weekend. Well, eventually that was upgraded to a proper service monitor. A service monitor is one box with many pieces of test gear built in. Once you have used professional test equipment its hard to go back to just a diode probe and a multimeter.
