Contest Blog for 2017

In late 2016 I finally relented and applied through the RSGB to OFCOM for a contest callsign.  Checking the rules I discovered that I qualified with the results I have had over the last 3 years during some of the big HF contests.  I applied and was successful in getting MI4I. I will be using MI4I in all HF contets from now onwhere permitted in the rules.  Its going to be an interesting year using this new shorter callsign and it will be fun to see what differences it makes.  It should be good during the WPX contests.

ARRL Roundup RTTY:
My first contest of the year.  I did not have a lot of time but had some good contacts during the Saturday evening and some very good runs on the Sunday morning.
